BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Therapy
We benefit from a long and productive relationship with the University, with our modules first credit-rated back in 2005.
BSc students study modules with both institutions, therefore all BCNH modules have been credit-rated by the University to ensure our teaching meets their standards. Therefore, the University oversees all aspects of the BCNH modules from course content, to assessment methods and quality control.
The BSc (Hons) programme in Nutritional Therapy is awarded by the University of Greenwich (UG).
Diploma modules credit-rated by UG
Students on the Diploma courses study the same BCNH modules as students on the BSc programme (but are not required to complete the additional University modules).
All BCNH modules are credit-rated by the University of Greenwich, so you can be assured that you are also receiving a degree-level education.
After completing a 3-year Level-6 Diploma course you will have accumulated 195 credits.
About NTEC Accreditation
Both the Diploma in Nutritional Therapy and BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Therapy are accredited by NTEC, allowing our graduates to apply for fast-track to the professional register held by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which is supported by the Department of Health.
NTEC is the Professional Standards Council for Nutritional Therapy. NTEC’s mission is to establish, uphold and advance the standards of qualifications, competence and conduct of those who practise nutritional therapy as a profession.
BCNH Nutritional Therapy graduates are eligible to apply for fast-track entry to the professional register held by the CNHC.
The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) was established with government support to regulate various complementary therapies, including Nutritional Therapy.
The key purpose of the CNHC is to protect the public.
The Department of Health has recommended that, where the CNHC registers the complementary therapy in question, members of the public should consult with someone who is CNHC registered.
