BCNH History & Values

BCNH Team-Breda Gajsek

BCNH History

BCNH College of Nutrition and Health was established in 2000 by its current founder, proprietor and Principal, Breda Gajsek. Breda created the college from her passion for nutrition and lifestyle medicine and her dedication to high quality education. Supported by her team, she has worked tirelessly to elevate standards in clinical nutrition practice and to promote its integration into orthodox medicine.

Collaboration with University of Greenwich

In 2005, we began an academic partnership with the University of Greenwich, enabling BCNH to offer UK Higher Education credit-bearing modules in our Diploma programme. Our students were also able to transfer those credits into a BSc (Hons) degree offered by the university. Current Diploma students continue to complete these credit-bearing modules.

NTEC - Nutritional Therapy Education Commission

NTEC Accreditation

In 2008, we successfully achieved the accreditation of our Diploma course by the Nutritional Therapy Education Commission (NTEC).  NTEC accreditation has been maintained since that time and allows our graduates to apply for fast-track entry to the professional register of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners held by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).  You can read more about Accreditations here.

Academic Partnership with the University of Northampton

In 2020, BCNH began to design a new BSc (Hons) degree, based on the foundations of our successful Diploma course.  We worked very closely with the partnership team at the University of Northampton (UON) to develop and refine the programme and are delighted to now be an official partner to the UON, with the BSc (Hons) Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine successfully validated in May 2021.

The UON mission to transform lives and inspire change aligns perfectly with our training.

We are recognised for supporting mature students who are seeking a career change by offering online-based training in a part-time capacity. We are committed to empowering students to transform their lives and career ambitions in the world of nutrition, enabling entrepreneurial ambitions and innovations, andt instilling tolerance and excellence in the nutritional field.
