Introduction to Taster Science Foundation Course
Introduction
This taster course / introduction to sciences is suitable for those candidates who are contemplating studying nutrition at a BSc level. The course consists of 2 short units that can be completed over 6 months or sooner.
Your learning is facilitated by comprehensive lecture notes, video recordings and short practice quizzes, which you can attempt as often as you like.
The course will be available online for 6 months from the date of enrolment.
Course fee: £250 + VAT (payable by bank transfer). Please note that the fee is non- refundable.
Candidates who have successfully completed all quizzes will receive a BCNH Certificate of Completion.

Module 1 Cytology – including:
- Cell structures and components
- Movement of substances into and out of the cells
- DNA and RNA structure, function and transcription
Module 2 Introduction to Chemistry – including:
- The Periodic table
- Atoms
- Covalent bonding
- Balancing equations

The fee includes PDF files of course materials along with video recorded lectures (mp4) which must be downloaded from our password-protected website. Students will have access to the materials on our website for a maximum period of 2 months from the time of enrolment. Once the 2 month period has ended, access to the website will be removed. By purchasing this course, students agree to be bound by the terms and conditions.
