Pilar Manzanaro Dip BCNH mBANT CNHC
Pilar Manzanaro is a BCNH qualified Nutritional Therapist (BANT & CNHC registered), and a mother of three.
Pilar is particularly interested on how diet and nutrition can help balance women’s health and have a positive impact on child development from pre-conception to adult life.
Julie Willford BSc(Hons) Dip BCNH mBANT CNHC
Julie Willford is a recent BCNH graduate who decided to give up her successful career in financial recruitment to become a Nutritional Therapist. Julie is a member of the team at IBS Clinic in London. She specialises in ME and chronic fatigue.
Susan Tomassini, BSc (Hons) Dip BCNH
Susan Tomassini is a BCNH graduate with a ‘lifelong obsession with how food influences all aspects of our health – from the way we look to the way we feel’. In this short interview Susan talks about her career as a model in Monaco, her family, her studies at BCNH and a passion for nutrition. Susan is a founder of ‘The Clever Kitchen’ and ‘Foodwise’.
Tracey Randell Dip BCNH mBANT CNHC
Tracey developed a passion for nutrition in her formative years and completed a comprehensive four year course at BCNH, which she passed with distinction. Tracey’s goal was always to become a practitioner on Harley Street and to turn the years of studying into a full time vocation. Tracey formed IBS Clinics and she now specialises in helping people with conditions such as Candida, IBS, Food intolerances and Adrenal Fatigue as well as many other health conditions.
The approach taken at Healthy Aspirations is very consultative and client centred, with individual’s concerns of paramount importance. Every client receives an individual plan designed specifically to address their health concerns and a course of diet & lifestyle modifications designed to alleviate symptoms as quickly as possible. All meal suggestions and supplements (if recommended) are introduced at the individuals own pace.
Alia Almoayed BSc Dip BCNH mBANT
Alia is a Nutritional Therapist, author, health speaker & consultant running a busy nutrition consultancy in the Kingdom of Bahrain which offers nutrition advice to the Middle East community and beyond.
Alia writes health articles for various publications, runs TV and radio programmes on health and nutrition, holds lectures and seminars on the subject, and heads a number of weight loss projects.
Alia is also the author of I Want Healthy Kids, a book on how to raise healthy children; The Dream Body Eating Plan, a weight loss guide; and I Want a Healthy Pregnancy, a book on how to enjoy natural pregnancy and childbirth. She is also co-author of 101 Ways To Improve Your Health. Alia hosts an internet health show, hosts the Arabic TV show ‘Shrayha Alia’ and runs an active blog.
Stephanie Ridley BSc(Hons) Dip BCNH mBANT CNHC
Stephanie is a degree-qualified Nutritional Therapist with an indisputable passion for promoting health through food. She gained a BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Health at the University of Greenwich and a Diploma Distinction in Nutritional Therapy at the BCNH College of Nutrition and Health (BCNH). Stephanie is a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the ‘gold standard’ Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
Stephanie worked as an Academic and Clinical Tutor at the UK College of Nutrition and Health (BCNH) before setting up Nourish to Flourish. She is also Nutritional Therapist at The Beez-Kneez, London-based specialists in pre- and post-natal fitness, and Betsy’s Mum, an exciting new venture aimed at promoting family health through food and nutrition. She has written nutritional articles for local magazines and contributes regularly to national magazines including Men’s Health, Women’s Fitness and Now magazine.
Sally Beare Dip BCNH CNHC
Whilst attending BCNH, Sally Beare wrote two books, The Live-Longer Diet – Secrets of the World’s Longest-Living People (Piatkus, UK, 2003); now re-released as The Anti-Ageing Diet; and 50 Secrets of the World’s Longest-Living People (Marlowe Publishing, NY, 2006). Sally went on to gain her diploma from BCNH with Distinction and she has also returned to BCNH to lecture on the subject of anti-ageing. In July 2015 Sally published her third book, The Stacking Plan (Peach, UK, 2015).
50 Secrets has been widely acclaimed and has also been translated into many languages worldwide. U.S. author and health guru Jimmy Moore wrote ’this book should be in every home, school, and library in the United States of America’, whilst Yoko Ono praised the book as one of seven books which changed her life in Oprah Winfrey’s O! Magazine.
Sally now coaches individuals and groups through her ten-step healthy-eating plan, the Stacking Plan, and she also writes for a range of magazines and websites.
Elizabeth Cooper BSc (Hons) Dip BCNH mBANT
Elizabeth graduated from BCNH in 2010 and is now practising nutrition full-time. As well as working as a nutritional therapist for Nuffield Health, she is the nutritionist for a new weight loss course endorsed by Shaw Somers of Channel 4’s ‘Food Hospital’ and has recently been offered the role of nutritional therapist for a series of sports nutrition clinics in Leeds.This is in addition to running her own practice.
Elizabeth is also the author of a recently updated children’s health booklet ‘Helping Yourself to Health’, which is used by several PCTs and is aimed at helping children lead healthier lives.
Paula Jones Dip BCNH mBANT CNHC
Paula’s working career began as a professional dancer, dance teacher and later a Pilates instructor. In her early twenties she experienced a sudden unexpected decline in health, experiencing multiple chronic symptoms including systemic muscular pain, swollen glands, and debilitating arthritis of no obvious cause. In seeking to manage her own health, she developed an interest in nutrition and grew curious of its ability to impact on health and well-being. Years later her interest grew and led to studying at the UK College of Nutrition and Health (BCNH), graduating with distinction.
Since qualification she has developed NutriChoice, her nutritional therapy consultation company based in London. In addition she was BCNH Clinic Director, supporting the learning of students in clinical practice. Paula enjoys working with both adults and children.
Hillary Thomas Dip BCNH MCNHC
Hillary qualified with Distinction from BCNH and, following her graduation in 2006, she set up her own practice at the Thorpe Bay Clinic in Thorpe Bay, Essex. Hillary also has Practicing Privileges at the Chelsfield Park Hospital and The Sloane Hospital in Kent, which are part of the BMI group of private hospitals, and at the Wellesley Hospital in Southend-on-Sea in Essex, which is part of the SPIRE group of private hospitals, where she receives referrals from Consultants and GPs.
Hillary sees patients of all ages, some of which are children and teenagers, addressing their many types of health issues. She also offers a wide range of functional tests, which gives valuable insight into her patients’ current health status’. Working with her patients, Hillary helps them to improve their diet and lifestyle with the ultimate goal of an overall improvement for their future health and well-being.
BCNH Postgraduate Community
At BCNH we enjoy a thriving post-graduate community and many graduates have stayed in touch.
Graduates are also encouraged to use our Good Health Nutrition Clinic, which is available on ad-hoc basis for a very reasonable fee. This provides BCNH graduates with a starting point to build their nutrition practice.
All BCNH graduates also receive FREE 12-month mentoring support from the college
